Elizabeth Wangui Mungai is an Associate assigned to the firm’s Dispute Resolution Department. She joined the firm as a pupil 2020 and was subsequently retained as an Advocate.
Wangui has assisted in the successful litigation of several high-profile cases on aspects of constitutional and administrative law and brings to bear valuable legal skills that have equipped her to offer outstanding legal services and solutions to clients.
She actively practices corporate and commercial litigation which includes representing individuals, financial institutions, companies and multinational corporate entities. Her experience extends to representation in probate and administration matters, land disputes and employment disputes. She has also been involved in offering advisory opinions in commercial transactions relating to foreign direct investment.
Wangui is passionate about data privacy and cybersecurity. She has knack for complex legal research and demonstrated meticulous attention to detail in her work.
- Assisted in the prosecution of several high-profile constitutional and administrative law matters including the impeachment of former Wajir County Governor.
- Advising clients on employment and labour relations matters including representing clients in contentious labour matters right from negotiating settlements through to successfully litigating before the Employment and Labour Relations Court.
- Representing clients in criminal matters ranging from plea-taking, bail and bond applications, trial proceedings and appeals.
- Reviewing and drafting general commercial agreements, trade and finance arrangements, and project finance documentation.
