Hilda is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Associate in the Real Estate / Commercial and Dispute Resolution departments of the Firm.

She focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation, before ordinary and special courts as well as arbitration tribunals, on matters related to contractual and extra-contractual civil liability, corporate disputes and competition. She has also contributed to the successful resolution of a number of well-known issues involving constitutional and administrative law, and she uses her invaluable legal expertise to provide clients with exceptional legal services and solutions.

In the real estate and conveyancing sector, Hilda has collaborated with developers, institutional investors and lenders to guarantee the successful completion of real estate projects, including the purchase and sale of land, contracts, joint ventures, acquisitions and the understanding of the real estate financing market and the efficient administration of real estate portfolios. Her corporate and commercial law practice is marked by her ability to deliver strategic legal advice on various corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency matters, and contract negotiations.

On the back of her experience and expertise, has distinguished herself in providing fast, specific, and competent legal assistance to government agencies and enterprises. She is an expert at resolving complicated legal disputes and creating and presenting legal solutions to a global clientele.

• Assisting counsel on resolving complex legal disputes involving multinational corporations across diverse sectors, successfully advised and acted for multinational companies on a broad range of contentious issues, including contract enforcement, shareholder disputes, regulatory compliance challenges, and financial services litigation.

• Assisting the senior litigation partners in constitutional and administrative law disputes, especially constitutional references and judicial review proceedings.
• Involved in various corporate / M&A matters including transfer of shares, joint ventures, and business transfers.
• Reviewing and drafting commercial agreements, banking documents, trade and finance arrangements, project finance documentation and regulatory and legislative interpretation.

• Advised and represented companies involved in commercial and residential developments during the sale of the properties and engaged in negotiating the contracts between the companies and the contractors for various works in the developments.
• Experience in property conveyance and ordinarily represents numerous individual and corporate property developers in liaising with project consultants for various works in the project developments, preparation of sale agreements, leases, handling of transfers in various registries in Kenya.
• Engaged in providing legal advice on matters including competition law, telecommunications legislation, regulatory compliance, and regulatory approval in business dealings involving foreign direct investment.
