Irene Koech is a Partner at Ahmednasir Abdullahi Advocates LLP and the Head of Real Estate and Conveyancing Department. She has extensive experience in Real Estate, Finance & Banking where she provides advisory services to various clients in connection with the sale, purchase or lease of commercial and residential units. She undertakes work in setting up property management schemes for commercial and residential developments.

Further, she has led various teams on advisory and preparation and registration of security documents such as charges and debentures, incorporation of companies, registration of business names, and preparation of commercial agreements, corporate reorganization and advising on corporate compliance issues.

• Has vast experience in property conveyance and ordinarily represents purchasers, vendors, financiers in structuring conveyancing transactions.
• Has experience representing banks such as Kenya Commercial Bank Limited, Gulf African Bank and First Community Bank in perfection of bank securities. This engagement entails conducting due diligence and advising Banks on the requisite documents to be drawn, preparation of template documents adopted by the banks and registration of bank securities.
• Has represented numerous individual and corporate property developers in liaising with project consultants for various works in the project developments, preparation of sale agreements, leases, handling of transfers in various registries in Kenya. Further she has unrivalled expertise in handling sub division processes, Change of User and Extension of Leases of properties on behalf of clients.
• Has experience in corporate and commercial law having advised clients on procedures and legal regulatory framework on project finance, international corporate finance, legal aspects of international finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, Public Procurement, Public Private Partnerships and Contracts Drafting, negotiation and management.  She also offers company secretarial services to corporate clients.
