Overview
Jerioth is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Associate in the Dispute Resolution department.
Jerioth has a strong background in Alternative Dispute Resolution, having successfully led negotiations and secured favorable settlements for clients. Her expertise extends to Human Rights and Public Interest Litigation, particularly in constitutional law, where she has advised and litigated matters involving the interpretation and enforcement of constitutional rights and principles.
She is also well-versed in Legal Advisory and Compliance, providing strategic counsel to individuals, corporations, and government bodies on legal frameworks, regulatory obligations, and dispute resolution.
Experience
- Represented a company running the biggest private hospital in East and Central Africa in the dispute involving a dispute revolving around the management of the said hospital.
- Advising clients on compliance with statutory and regulatory frameworks, particularly in tax-related litigation, employment law and commercial regulations.
- Advising and acting for corporate and individual clients in matters involving breach of contract, debt recovery, shareholder disputes, and enforcement of securities. Drafting pleadings, preparing legal opinions and representing clients during hearings and mediation.
- Representing clients in a wide spectrum of disputes, including commercial, employment and industrial relations, family, constitutional and land matters. Assisting Senior Partners in complex constitutional and administrative law proceedings, including judicial review and constitutional petitions.
- Representing a high profile individual in a defamation case against a reputable media company.
