Overview
Mr. Gichuru is a Partner in the Litigation and Dispute resolution Department within the firm. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, Masters of Law from the University of Alabama and Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.
Mr. Gichuru is versatile and experienced in diverse areas of complex commercial litigation and arbitration encompassing banking and finance, environment and law, Insurance Law and Mergers and Acquisition. He has represented various clients in litigation matters in High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
Experience
- Has extensive experience in commercial litigation which includes representing financial institutions in debt recovery from loan defaulters. Entities represented include First Community Bank Limited, Dubai Bank Limited and Housing Finance Company.
- Has vast experience in handling high net worth Probate and Administration matters and has successfully represented clients in various courts.
- Offers consultancy on Estate Planning and Trusts.
- Represents clients in litigating complex Constitutional and Administrative issues.
- Advises multi-national companies in structuring their employment and labour relations policies.
- Has vast experience in Intellectual property and involved in registration of intellectual property rights/trademarks/copyright.
- Represented various insurance companies in various litigation matters. Insurance companies represented include Amaco Insurance, Takaful Insurance Company Ltd.
