Rita is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an Associate in the Corporate / Commercial and Dispute Resolution departments of the Firm.

Rita’s primary area of practice is corporate and commercial law. She has substantial experience in both international and Kenyan commercial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals, banking & finance and corporate law compliance.
She also provides civil and commercial litigation support to various local and regional clients and is appreciated by clients for her practical and concise approach to giving legal advice.
- Acted for companies involved in high net worth commercial and residential developments during the sale of the properties and engaged in negotiating the contracts between the companies and the contractors for various works in the developments.
- Involved in various corporate / M&A matters including transfer of shares, joint ventures, and business transfers.
- Attending to registration and incorporation of various legal entities including companies, limited liability partnerships, societies, trusts and non-governmental organizations.
- Drafting security documents for commercial banks such as mortgages and charges.
- Litigation of commercial disputes, employment and Industrial relations disputes, family disputes and land disputes;
- Assisting the senior litigation partners in constitutional and administrative law disputes, especially constitutional references and judicial review proceedings.
